Here is the very gorgeous Faye Riches. Faye is possibly one the kindest people we have ever met, she seems have an endless supply of compassion. She is also a strong and powerful teacher (see the middle image below!) taking her students through their paces in her dynamic vinyasa flow yoga classes. It is quite a potent combination.
“My classes are a tapestry of strength, grace, empowerment and clarity woven together with eclectic playlists.”
Faye is a yoga pioneer in her home town of Colchester. Over the past 10 years she has worked hard and built a vibrant yoga community. This year she is taking it to the next level and has recently launched Our Yoga Tribe, where she leads a team of talented teachers who work together to offer yoga classes, workshops and events with a focus on healthy wellbeing and mindfulness.
Faye’s big passion is travel and she has worked in some pretty cool places including Ibiza, Bali, New Zealand and the Gambia. This year she is heading to the Caribbean too.
When a teacher joins the team we always ask them where they would love to work as we want them to feel passionate and excited about their work with us. Without skipping a beat Faye’s answer was India. So here we are! We ran our first India yoga holiday together this year and have just confirmed our India yoga holiday for 2018, working at a wonderful new location on Morjim beach. Well done to Faye who found the location too. It is gorgeous.
“I absolutely love taking people to India. It is a wonderful opportunity for us all to honour and connect to the source of yoga. I have already started creating the content for our next retreat and I can wait to teach it.”
Faye also teaches on our annual New Year Yoga Detox which is always sold out so if you are after a buzzy weekend filled with yoga and great tunes, book ahead!

Adam Husler joined our team this year and we can’t wait to work with him.
Adam has a big love of anatomy, which has led him to specialise in Alignment Based Vinyasa Yoga. He has studied at an advanced level under Jason Crandell and intensively under Budokon Yoga Founder Cameron Shayne and renowned meditation teacher Michael Stone.
“My classes are creatively sequenced featuring long holds, controlled yet dynamic movements, intelligent alignment and deep exploration of depth in postures. They’re also dogma free! Anatomy is my passion, not pretty shapes.”
Ahead of his 2017 yoga retreats in Tuscany and UK, we had a chat with Adam to find out what makes him tick!
We are big fans of Michael Stone – how do his teachings influence you?
“Michael is a leading global meditation teacher but people don’t always realise the lineage of inspiring yoga teachers that he comes from. After years of traditional asana, he has increasingly moved more towards a physical practice that focuses on mobility and stability, something that features heavily in my teaching.”
Why do you like teaching on yoga retreats?
“Beyond the joys of not having to tackle the London streets to get to a class, in a world of ‘drop in yoga’, retreats give you a chance to worker deeper with students in an environment that allows them to make the most out of their yoga practice; on the mat and off it.”
What are you looking forward to most about the Tuscany yoga retreat?
“The people that I’ll be delivering the retreat with (awww thanks Adam!) including a yoga teacher I’ve respected and admired for years: Emma Henry. I rather like the idea of tanning by the pool too!”
For those of you who have not yet had the pleasure, we’d like to introduce you to Jivamukti yoga teacher Emma Henry. You might recognise her from our home page!
Emma has been working with us for the past 3 years. She shares our love of working in wild and wonderful places and together we have created our wilderness yoga retreats in Iceland, Mongolia and Norway. The combination of Jivamukti yoga and these locations is pretty powerful.
“I love the journey and process that we all go through on Reclaim Your Self yoga retreats. It is a blessing to be able to take people on such transformative trips.“
Emma is particularly known for her mesmerising chanting and her dynamic, innovative choreography and exquisite sequencing.
She leads our UK digital detox weekends. We are passionate about creating retreats for our guests to log off and enjoy quality device free time. Check out this podcast by Michael Stone, an inspiring resource if you are thinking about how to manage your relationship with technology.
Emma also teams up with Adam Husler on our Tuscany yoga retreat, where we invite 30 yogis to our huge luxury estate for an epic yoga journey. This yoga retreat sells out super fast, so if you are a yogi looking to spend a luxury week doing loads of yoga with 2 top teachers, book ahead for 2018.
