There's a particular kind of quiet that only exists in a snow-covered landscape. The way sound is absorbed by it. The way the cold makes you feel completely alive.

These retreats happen in the far north, where winter is properly winter: frozen lakes, snow-laden forests, skies that do extraordinary things after dark. Not the kind of place you'd usually think to do a yoga or wellness retreat. Which is exactly why we go there.

retreats in the arctic...rEALLY?

Yes, really. We know, it's not the obvious call. It's further than you'd usually go, colder than you'd usually choose, and way beyond your comfort zone than most holidays dare to take you. And yet, here you are. Good decision.

Because then you get there. The silence of a snowshoe trail. The absurd joy of steering your own husky sled through a frozen forest. The shock of an ice plunge followed by the enveloping heat of a lakeside sauna. The sky doing something after dark that you didn't quite believe was real. The yoga that somehow makes perfect sense in the middle of all of it. The feeling of being genuinely, properly looked after.

What Our Guests Say

Where we go

From Finnish Lapland to Svalbard's wilderness, these are the places that feel like the rest of the world doesn't exist. Cold, wild, cosy and completely out of the ordinary.

Finnish Lapland

Finnish Lapland is a world away. Snow-covered forests so still you can hear the quiet. Frozen lakes. Long Arctic nights where the stars are extraordinary and, on a good evening, the sky does something you'll never quite forget.

Days here move between the wild and the warm. Husky sledding through snowy wilderness, snowshoeing across open fells, and the deep ritual of sauna and ice dip on the edge of a frozen lake — which sounds alarming and feels incredible. Yoga woven throughout, meals that were made for exactly this kind of cold, and an experience that guests tell us changes something. No amount of reading about it quite prepares you. Some things you just have to feel.

svalbard

Further north than almost anywhere you can go. Svalbard in April is deep in its "Sunny Winter," with snow still thick on the ground, skies brilliant and clear, and daylight stretching long into the evening. One of the most remote places on earth, and one that very few people ever get to see.

Snowmobiling into untouched backcountry. Husky sledding across frozen valleys. Yoga. Ice caves. A floating sauna in the harbour. Evenings by the fire. Not your average week off.

A proper get-out-of-your-comfort-zone trip. The kind where you surprise yourself. And as anyone who's been will tell you, that's exactly where the good stuff happens.
