Are flights included?
Flights are not included. We provide suggested options on the travel page, and our team is happy to advise if you’d like support with booking.
How do transfers work?
We provide one group transfer from Keflavík Airport and one pick-up point in Reykjavík at set times on both arrival and departure days. From there, we travel together by private bus to Stykkishólmur, which takes around three hours.
As the retreat takes place in a remote part of West Iceland, it’s important that your flights are arranged to match the group transfer times listed on the travel page. Local buses do not run daily, and private taxi transfers to the retreat are extremely expensive, often costing around £600 each way.
If you are unsure whether your flights align with the transfer schedule, our team is happy to advise before you book.
What’s the group size and what kind of people are going?
This is a small group trip for up to 15 people. Our retreats bring together a mix of solo travellers, friends, and couples, typically aged 40–60, though we also welcome those in their 30s and 70s. They are solo-friendly by design and attract open-minded people who value wellbeing, enjoy exploring, and like meeting others along the way.
Some guests come for the yoga, others for the destination, but many end up enjoying both. The atmosphere is friendly, down-to-earth, and easy to be part of.
Do I need any vaccinations or visas?
Please check here for vaccination information. Please check here for visa information.
Can I book on my own?
Yes absolutely. We have many solo travellers on our trips. It’s a great way to make new friends.
Can you cater for my dietary requests?
Our chefs can cater for most dietary requirements, but we do need to know in advance as we are eating in different cafes and restaurants, so we will need a little time to check and be sure. Please include any requests on your booking form and we will confirm in writing. You are also welcome to check with our team before booking.
Who is hosting this trip?
All of our retreats are hosted by a Reclaim retreat leader, who manages logistics and looks after the group, alongside Lucy Bishop, your Reclaim yoga teacher who leads your yoga sessions. We’ll be working closely with our small but mighty hotel management team and their trusted suppliers.
