Are flights and visas included?
You will need to book your own international flights to India. We can help you with airport transfers for an additional cost.
All other transport during the retreat is included once the group journey begins. This covers the domestic flight to Varanasi, the overnight sleeper train to Delhi and all road transfers throughout the journey.
Your Indian visa is not included and you will need to arrange this yourself. We are happy to guide you through the process.
What’s the group size and what kind of people are going?
This retreat has a maximum of 16 guests.
Our retreats bring together a mix of solo travellers, friends and couples, typically aged 40–60, although we regularly welcome guests in their 30s and 70s too. They are very solo-friendly and tend to attract curious, open-minded people who enjoy travelling beyond the obvious places and sharing the experience with others.
Some guests come primarily for the yoga, others for the destination, but many end up loving both. The atmosphere is friendly, down-to-earth and easy to be part of.
Do I need any vaccinations?
Please check TravelHealthPro for the latest vaccination and health information for India.
Can I book on my own?
Absolutely. Many of our guests travel solo, and you’ll be part of the group from the beginning. It’s a great way to meet new people while still having your own space throughout the journey.
Can you cater for my dietary requirements?
Vegetarian and vegan meals are available throughout the retreat. However, because of some of the locations we visit and the use of fixed menus, we may not be able to accommodate all specialist dietary requirements.
If you have specific dietary needs, please contact us before booking so we can check what is possible.
Who is hosting this trip?
Anna Taylor is your yoga teacher and will lead the yoga and meditation throughout the journey. A Reclaim Yourself retreat leader will also accompany the group, looking after the day-to-day running of the retreat from arrival through to departure.
We have created the journey with our long-standing India partner, working with their network of expert local guides in each destination. This means you’ll also spend time with people who know the places we visit inside out, from Kerala’s backwaters and tea country to Varanasi and Old Delhi.
