Are flights included?
Flights are not included. We provide suggested options on the travel page, and our team is happy to advise if you’d like support with booking.
Do I need a visa and are there any special entry requirements for the Galápagos?
The Galápagos Islands are part of Ecuador, but entry is more controlled due to the islands’ protected status and conservation laws.
Passport and Visa
Most travellers visiting Ecuador for tourism do not need a visa in advance for short stays, depending on nationality. We recommend checking the latest requirements with your embassy or official travel advice before departure.
Your passport should be valid for at least six months from your date of travel.
Additional Requirements for the Galápagos
1. Transit Control Card / Online Registration
Before travelling, all visitors must complete the required online registration for the Transit Control Card (TCT). This generates a QR code which must be presented at the airport before flying to the islands. The current fee is US$20. We will send you the link and instructions before travel.
2. National Park Entrance Fee
On arrival in the Galápagos Islands, non-Ecuadorian adult visitors must pay the Galápagos National Park entrance fee of US$200, payable in cash on arrival at Baltra Airport.
Important Note
Entry requirements and fees can change, so we will always share the latest guidance with you before departure.
Do I need any vaccinations?
Please check here for vaccination information.
What’s the group size and what kind of people are going?
This retreat is slightly larger than some of our others, with up to 16 guests. We take over the entire property, with plenty of space to spread out across villas, gardens, and shared areas, so it never feels crowded.
Our retreats bring together a mix of solo travellers, friends, and couples, typically aged 40–60, though we also welcome those in their 30s and 70s. They are solo-friendly by design and attract open-minded people who value wellbeing, enjoy exploring, and like meeting others along the way.
Some guests come for the yoga, others for the destination, but many end up enjoying both. The atmosphere is friendly, down-to-earth, and easy to be part of.
Is there wifi?
Wifi is very slow on the island generally and very patchy at our retreat location. There is also no mobile reception here. There will be time for you to head into town where there is a better connection in case you need to be online during your trip.
Can I book on my own?
Yes absolutely. We have many solo travellers on our trips. It’s a great way to make new friends.
Can you cater for my dietary requests?
Our chefs can cater for most dietary requirements, but we do need to know in advance. Please include any requests on your booking form and we will confirm in writing. You are also welcome to check with our team before booking.
Who is hosting this trip?
All of our retreats are hosted by a Reclaim retreat leader, who manages logistics and looks after the group, alongside a Reclaim yoga teacher who leads your yoga sessions. For Brazil your retreat leader will be Chloe Murray, and your yoga teacher will be Matthew Shaw, Creative Director of Yoga Roots.
We have exclusive use of our beach resort. Our team works closely with the on-site team to ensure everything runs smoothly throughout your stay.
