Are flights included?
Flights are not included. You’ll need to arrange your own flights into Nuuk and your return flight home from Sisimiut. We provide suggested flight options on the travel page, and our team is happy to advise if you’d like support with booking.
How do transfers work?
Airport transfers are included on both arrival and departure days at set times. Full transfer details will be provided before departure.
As this retreat begins in Nuuk and ends in Sisimiut, you’ll need to book an arrival flight into Nuuk and a departure flight from Sisimiut. If you’re unsure whether your flights align with the transfer schedule, our team is happy to advise before you book.
What’s the group size and what kind of people are going?
This is a small group trip for up to 12 people. Our retreats bring together a mix of solo travellers, friends and couples, typically aged 40–60, though we also welcome those in their 30s and 70s. They are solo-friendly by design and attract open-minded people who value wellbeing, enjoy exploring and like meeting others along the way.
This retreat is likely to appeal to adventurous travellers who enjoy spending time outdoors and are excited by the idea of exploring one of the world’s most remarkable wilderness regions.
How much yoga is there?
Unlike some of our retreats, yoga in Greenland is woven into the journey rather than following a fixed daily schedule. Sessions take place throughout the week when we find ourselves in suitable locations, either onboard or ashore.
The focus of this retreat is the overall experience, combining yoga, exploration, hiking, sauna, cold-water immersion and time spent in nature.
Will I have internet access?
Internet access will be limited throughout much of the journey. As we travel through remote parts of Greenland, there will be periods where there is little or no connection while sailing.
We recommend downloading any books, podcasts, films or other entertainment before departure. When we visit settlements and towns along the route, there may be opportunities to reconnect, but this should be viewed as a chance to properly disconnect and immerse yourself in the experience.
Will I get seasick?
TULU is an expedition vessel designed for Greenlandic waters, but conditions can vary. If you’re prone to seasickness, we recommend bringing suitable medication. Most guests find they adjust quickly, but it’s always best to come prepared.
What happens if weather affects flights or the itinerary?
Greenland is an Arctic destination and weather plays an important role in daily life. As a result, flight schedules, sailing routes and aspects of the itinerary may occasionally need to change.
Part of the adventure is embracing this flexibility. Your captain and local team will always make decisions based on safety, weather conditions and creating the best possible experience for guests.
Should flights be delayed, the itinerary is designed to adapt where possible, and there is no need to worry if travel plans change. In some circumstances, itinerary adjustments may also be made in the weeks leading up to departure if conditions require it. If this happens, we’ll keep you fully informed throughout.
Do I need any vaccinations or visas?
Please check the latest vaccination recommendations on the TravelHealthPro Greenland page and check visa requirements before travelling. As entry requirements can change, we recommend checking official government advice before booking your flights.
Can I book on my own?
Yes, absolutely. Many guests join our retreats solo. This is a wonderful way to experience Greenland while sharing the adventure with a small group of like-minded travellers.
Can you cater for my dietary requirements?
A private chef travels with us throughout the journey and can usually accommodate most dietary requirements. Please let us know your requirements when booking and we’ll confirm what can be catered for in advance.
Who is hosting this trip?
This retreat is hosted by a Reclaim Yourself retreat leader, who manages logistics and looks after the group throughout the journey, alongside Victoria Greene, who teaches the yoga sessions. You’ll also be accompanied by an experienced local crew and host who will help bring Greenland’s landscapes, culture and wildlife to life along the way.
