You may have noticed that quite a few of our yoga retreats include Jivamutki yoga classes. If you are wondering what Jivamukti yoga is and if you’d enjoy it – here is a video that explains more.
A Jivamukti yoga class includes chanting, breath awareness, flowing vinyasa sequences, alignment exploration, hands-on assistance, relaxation and meditation.
It is a yoga style that will require you to commit to your classes so we recommend that you have some previous experience of a flow class before you come. You don’t need to be a yoga expert or be super flexible but a basic knowledge of asana and a good fitness level means you will get the most out of a Jivamukti yoga retreat. Doing 4-5 hours yoga a day can be challenging (as can the travel as we often go to places that take time to get to) but our very experienced teacher Emma Henry will make sure everyone gets what they need from her yoga classes.
If you are feeling tempted why not do this free class with Emma and see what you think:
