Location Join us at Arnauton, a beautifully renovated 16th Century farmhouse in the heart of the Gascony countryside for our France yoga and pilates holiday this June. Located in the Midi Pyrenees, this region is sometimes referred to as the French Tuscany due to its gently rolling hills filled with sunflowers and old villages, including many “bastides” or fortified towns. Our farmhouse is set in five acres of private grounds and has swimming pool and tennis court. The superb yoga room has views over the pool and beyond to rolling hills. From the terrace there are views of Pyrenees on a clear day. Programme On this healthy holiday, you’ll enjoy a mix of yoga and pilates classes with Lara Chandler. Between classes our peaceful location lends itself perfectly for some “you time”, or within easy reach you'll find a thermal spa, golf course and a swimming lake. You can also enjoy wine tasting and explore nearby bastide villages, towns and chateaux. |

Yoga, pilates and meditation Lara will offer two classes a day, plus optional evening meditation. You’ll have two hours of dynamic yoga in the mornings, ninety minutes of pilates in the afternoon, followed by half an hour of relaxation and restorative yoga. Lara’s yoga classes combine elements of Vinyasa flow and a focus on cirrect body alignment. Working to improve your strength, flexibility and range of movement, you'll sometimes work with props to help you fully experience the asana (postures). Each morning session will have a theme in which the student can thread into the following days practice, to create a fuller knowledge and awareness of body placement. Yoga (asana) practice will include standing asana, backbends, twists, seated forward bends and inversions. Pilates is a great way to strengthen the core muscle groups. Over four sessions of expertly guided practise you'll cover the full syllabus and will be able to make significant progress and achieve inspiring results. The combination of yoga and pilates will stretch and challenge your physical limits without pushing you beyond them. With optional evening meditation and plenty of time to rest and relax, you'll find this a rejuvenating healthy holiday for your mind, body and spirit. Students of all levels with find the classes rewarding. Lara incorporates many adjustments and alternatives to suit all abilities within a class, creating a warm and friendly environment for everyone. |
