Barcelona Yoga Weekend
Join Faye Riches for an autumn yoga weekend in Spain. Join us for a long weekend of yoga in the fabulous city of Barcelona. Experience the city in the expert hands of our onsite team, who will introduce you to a healthy, more relaxed and stress free side of the city.
You'll have five vinyasa flow yoga classes over the weekend where you will explore a soulful sequence of uplifting vinyasa. The weekend is designed to stretch and strengthen your mind, body and soul while awakening dormant energy within the body with the ultimate sankalpa (intention) of raising your vibration.
We’ll be based in the hip neighbourhood of Gràcia. With its leafy streets, peaceful plazas and many alternative restaurants and cool cafes, it’s the perfect place for you to encounter the very best of Barcelona.
Your Barcelona yoga weekend programme
Yoga: You'll have five yoga classes over three days, from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. The yoga weekend takes place in a private yoga studio situated on the top floor of a beautifully converted warehouse.
For those who wish to stay on we'll be running a further class on Monday morning.
Faye teaches vinyasa flow yoga, a dynamic style of yoga where you practice a smoothly flowing sequence of asana connected by the breath. Students of all levels will find these yoga classes rewarding.
Over the weekend you will practice asana, pranayama (breathing) meditation & mantra to support the varying sankalpas (intentions) for each class, enabling you to access your brilliance.
Between classes: After morning class on Saturday we'll go for brunch at nearby healthy cafes -you are welcome to join us, invite your friends or partner if they have travelled with you or do your own thing. After morning class on Sunday we will invite you for a special breakfast on our private terrace. Please note there is an additional costs for the brunches.
We also provide a guide of interesting places to visit during your yoga weekend - you'll have time to go to the beach, check out La Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and the Gothic area. There is plenty to see and do in Barcelona and our resident hosts can tell where to go and how to get there.
Your October Barcelona yoga weekend will take place in the hip neighborhood of Gràcia. With its leafy streets, peaceful plazas and many alternative restaurants and cool cafes, it's the perfect place for you to encounter the very best of Barcelona.
Gràcia is about 1 km north of central Barcelona. It's a bohemian neighbourhood, with a more local than a cosmopolitan feel to it and much of life is lived on the many public plazas.
During your yoga weekend, you’ll be able to experience the city in the expert hands of our onsite team, who will introduce you to a healthy, more relaxed and stress free side of the city.

Getting to your yoga weekend from UK (mail us if you'd like advice on travel options from another location)
You can fly directly from UK to Barcelona with Vueling, Monarch, Iberia and Easyjet. Fares will be around £80 if you arrive Thursday evening and leave Monday afternoon. If you fly in Friday and leave Sunday fares are around £120. We advise that you book early to avoid higher fares.
Transfers from the airport
There is a shuttle bus that departs from outside the airport which costs around 6 euros and takes around 30 minutes to Placa de Catalunya.
From there it's a short taxi ride to Gràcia or you can get the metro. The nearest metro stops are Fontana, Joanic and Lesseps.
A taxi from the airport to Gràcia is around 35 euros depending on traffic.
We encourage our clients to travel responsibly, so if you have the time to make the journey part of your yoga holiday then you can travel by train. With great scenery, no baggage or check in fees, no airport taxes or 2 hour check ins, it’s a less stressful way to travel.
There are several options for travelling by train. You can leave London on the Eurostar in the evening, arrive in Paris and then take the sleeper Elipsos trainhotel arriving at 10am the next morning. You can also leave London early morning on the Eurostar, arrive in Paria at lunchtime and take the high speed TGV Duplex to Barcelona, arriving early evening (see seat61 for more details).
Fares start at around £150 return, but you'll need to book in advance to get a good fare.
