Programme: Join us for a yoga weekend in Barcelona this June, where you'll immerse yourself in Scaravelli inspired yoga with Helen Noakes. You'll have six yoga classes and an afternoon workshop in a stunning private yoga studio situated on the top floor of a beautifully converted warehouse.  For those who wish to stay on we'll be running two further classes on Monday 10th June.

Practitioners of all levels will find these yoga classes rewarding. The Scaravelli approach to working with the body is quite unique, meaning those practising any style of yoga will find new ways of working with asana or postures, and those with less experience will find it easy to follow with inspiring results for improving flexibility.

Scaravelli inspired yoga is a process of letting go or "undoing" and it can be a powerful and transformative experience. This weekend you will learn how to be your own best teacher, dive into some uplifting and spontaneous movement and we'll provide you with your own tools to use every day to align yourself into a stress free posture.

Location: We'll be based in the hip neighbourhood of Gràcia. With its leafy streets, peaceful plazas and many alternative restaurants and cool cafes, it's the perfect place for you to encounter the very best of Barcelona.Gràcia is about 1 km north of central Barcelona. It's a bohemian neighbourhood, with a more local than a cosmopolitan feel to it and much of life is lived on the many public plazas. You’ll be able to experience the city in the expert hands of our onsite team, who will introduce you to a healthy, more relaxed and stress free side of the city.
Other things to do: You'll have time during the Friday and Sunday to explore more of Barcelona and we'll have written guides and suggestions from our resident host that will make exploring the city stress free.So whether you want to head one of the beaches, see the sights or visit lesser know hidden gems, we'll make sure you get there.
Accommodation: Accommodation is not provided by Reclaim Your Self on this weekend.  When you book we will send a list of recommended places to stay nearby.  You’ll be able to find B&B’s hotels and apartments in all shapes and sizes – big lofts that could be shared by 6-8 persons, or smaller studios that would suit couples or single travellers.

Costs:  Your urban yoga weekend will cost £275 per person. If you are planning to stay on for the Monday classes your cost will be £300.

What’s included:

  • 6 x 90 minute yoga classes
  • A two hour yoga workshop
  • Written guides on exploring the city and our local host on hand to answer questions
  • 2 x 2 hour classes on the Monday if you are paying £300 and staying on for that day

Your additional costs will be:

  • 2 nights' accommodation (we'll recommend local places from 40-100 Euros per night)
  • Your meals (budget 25-30 Euros a day – reduce if breakfast is included in your room rate)
  • Your flights if you are travelling from overseas

If you are planning to stay for the extra day you'll need to add a night's accommodation and a day's food costs to the above.

Weather:  Barcelona has pleasant temperatures and abundant sunshine in June.  Average temperatures are between 25-30 degrees Celsius.

Travel and other information:

Trains

We encourage our clients to travel responsibly, so if you have the time to make the journey part of your holiday then you can travel by train.  With great scenery, no baggage or check in fees, no airport taxes or 2 hour check ins, it’s a less stressful way to travel.

It’s very easy to travel to Spain by train.  The best option is the Eurostar to Paris and then the Elipsos trainhotel to Barcelona. (see seat61 for more details).  Fares start at around £195 return.

Flights

You can fly to Barcelona from the UK with many airlines including Easyjet, BA, Swiss, Ryanair and KLM. Fares start from around £90 return (it's worth booking in advance to get a cheaper fare).

From the airport you can take a taxi for around 30 Euros, or the frequent airport bus into the city centre for 5 Euros. From the city centre, Gràcia is a short metro ride away (nearest metro stop Fontana).

Your first class will be at 8am on Friday 7th June and your last class will finish at 7pm on Sunday 9th June.  If you are staying for the extra day we'll finish at 3pm on 10th June.
